Being a resident outside of the state of California, I needed to find an attorney to represent me as a defendant in a lawsuit against me by a California based company. After an extensive search I was lucky to find the law office of Peter Bronstein.Not having a lot of personal experience in legal matters of this nature and located 3 thousand miles from California, I needed an attorney, not only to represent me but someone who could handle my case with the California courts and legal system without me having to physically be present.For me it was a frightening and uncomfortable position to be in. 1. He responded very quickly to my requests, while other firms either failed to reply or simply weren't interested.
2. Even though this was an important issue for me, it probably wasn't sizable enough for other attorneys to want to become involved in my case. Mr. Bronstein was just the opposite. He was sympathetic to my circumstances and enthusiastic in representing me.
3. I appreciated the fact that he wasn't a part of a huge firm. I felt in my situation, it would be much more beneficial and efficient to have an experienced and highly qualified attorney handle my case directly as opposed to many firms that use less experienced attorneys and assistants to do the work. That is not how Peter operates. He is totally hands on from start to finish.
4. His availability, accessibility , and communication was outstanding. My calls, emails, texts, etc. were always answered quickly. Mr. Bronstein conducts business around the world. We exchanged calls and emails while he was in China, Australia, Southeast Asia just to name a few.
5. His competence and experience allowed me to feel comfortable and stress-free. My case, although appearing to me, to be simple, was not. I'm a small businessman and I was being sued by a multi-billion dollar company. Their lawyers were often unresponsive but Peter was able to deal with their bigness and arrogance to negotiate a suitable outcome for me.
6. Most of this process occurred during the Covid 19 pandemic. Peter had all the necessary tools to deal with the courts, judges, and the plaintiff's internal legal department, as well as their outside counsel.
7. The outcome for me was better than I expected. My exposure was a fraction of the amount I was being sued for and we were able to avoid a very costly court trial.
8. I found Mr. Bronstein's rates to be quite reasonable. Additionally, I never felt like I was on the clock. My local attorneys nickel and dime me for everything. Phone calls, emails, text messages with them all come at a cost. I like Peter's approach much better. He knows up front from his vast experience the cost of his time to settle a matter. He's fully transparent so you know what you'll be paying and there's no surprises.
9. Lastly are his personal and professional qualities. A truly honest man with great integrity. Someone who won't let you down or take advantage of you or your situation.
